Richard Anthony Johnson Graduated from the University of Sheffield in 1995, gaining a Dual Honours Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering. He then spent a further year, gaining a Master of Science Degree in Engineering, opting for Concrete as his specialism.
Upon graduating, he joined a multidisciplinary Engineering consultancy in Cambridge, where he gained experience in Structural Design to British Standards, Geotechnical analysis and Site Management.
During his initial three years, Richard completed and achieved Sign-off against his Initial Professional Development with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Having completed his initial training, Richard chose to join a firm of Acquisition and Building Surveyors, where he worked as the in-house Structural Engineer. During his tenure with the consultancy, Richard gained experience in Site Management, Prince 2 Project Management, contract management, build costing and surveying.
Upon leaving his second post, Richard founded his own company and has maintained an active presence in the fields of Structural and Civil Engineering, producing Design Drawings, Structural Calculations to both British Standards and Eurocodes, sustainable drainage solutions to SUDS, carrying out site inspections, producing CDM preconstruciton documents and providing Environmental and Health and Safety Audits for clients.
Richard has a total of 27 years post graduate experience in Civil and Structural Engineering.
Richard maintains membership of the the Chartered Institute of Wastes Management (LCIWM), the chartered Institute of Building (ICIOB), the International Institute of Risk and Safety management (SIIRSM) and is registered with the Institution of Civil Engineers as having completed his professional development.
In 2016, Richard was admitted as a Corporate Member of The Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and Corporate member of the Society of Environmental Engineers (MSEE).
